It started with New York Fashion Week.
The lights, energy, and transformations.
As a model, I had a front-row seat to the power of beauty. I watched artists create confidence,
tell stories, and transform how people felt about themselves.
But the moment that changed my life didn't happen on a runway.
It happened at a photoshoot.
Before a Hampton Roads Bridal Magazine shoot, I sat down for a styling session
and watched the salon owner work on me.
She wasn't just creating beautiful hair.
She was creating confidence, helping me feel seen, and was completely alive in her craft.
When she handed me the mirror, a thought crossed my mind that never left.
"How incredible would it be to help women feel this beautiful every single day?"
That single moment led me into the beauty industry.
It led me to years behind the chair, advanced education, leadership opportunities, and eventually building The Key Salon.
Over the years, while working behind the chair and helping lead educational programs, I noticed something.
Many talented beauty professionals weren't struggling because they lacked talent.
They were struggling because they lacked guidance, mentorship, and clarity.
They needed a place where their personal goals, professional dreams, and values could all work together.
I wanted to create that place.
Not just another salon.
A home for growth.
A place where creativity and purpose coexist.
A place where education never ends.
A place where every team member feels supported, challenged, and inspired to become the best version of themselves.
Because growth shouldn't have an expiration date.
